It's amazing how people are crying about intelligence experience when the CIA was run SOOOOOOOOOOO well under people with experience like George Tenet, Porter J. Goss and Micheal Hayden. I guess you rather Obama pick someone like that.
The CIA building was named after a CIA director who had no intel experience. His name was "George H. W. Bush".
Good job, KQ. I think O is looking to clean house and reduce waste and Panetta has the management and budget experience to do it. Others will have the intel.
And, looks like Panetta can learn. He's done a lot of jobs well.
Putting Panetta in charge of the CIA would be like putting Barney Frank as Sec of Defense...
