"Victory attained by violence is tantamount to a defeat, for it is momentary." Mahatma Gandhi, 'Satyagraha Leaflet No. 13,' May 3, 1919

Anyone who has not heard that Senator Hillary Clinton is being considered for Secretary of State is definitely living under a rock. Every media station and pundit is weighing in on this decision. They say it is "restorative." It is a "gesture" from the Obama camp "healing" campaign wounds. "Everybody"...

On November 27, 2007, the Israelis and Palestinians wrapped up the latest round of peace talks in Annapolis, Maryland. Once again, the parties agreed to agree to talk about peace.

Presidential Hopefuls and the Bloomberg Blues...

Millionaires are heading to the White House, says The New York Times.

Too bad. I'd rather vote for a billionaire, but there's still no word on whether Mayor Michael Bloomberg will join the presidential race. And I'm not holding my breath.

So once again, I'm enduring another race...

Neither devastating fire nor flood is enough cause for U.S leadership to reshuffle priorities. War seems to...

Blackwater CEO Erik Prince recently told Congress that his company wasn't at fault for killing 20 Iraqis. I beg to differ: it is your fault. But our entire government also shares the blame.

Afghan Poppy Power

Posted October 8, 2007 | 05:26 PM (EST)

The United Nations released a report in August stating that this year's poppy crop in Afghanistan has risen 64 percent. In light of this the U.S. is, again, compartmentalizing its problem solving strategy into one basket. It just wants to nuke -- or sorry, I mean -- drench the yield...
